2. Planning Commission Member Application

   This application is for citizens interested in volunteering to serve on the City of Branson’s Planning Commission and is due to the City Clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m. on April 17, 2026.

4. Appointment Authority:

    “…appointed by the mayor and approved by the council. All citizen members of the commission shall serve without compensation…” - RSMo. 89.320 

6. Duties

   “…The commission shall report on any and all proposed changes in the zoning code when adopted; shall review all proposed subdivisions of land; and may recommend plans and physical improvement programs for the city to the board.” – Branson Municipal Code – Section 94-150(d).

8. Term:

   Expires - April 2030

10. "AT WILL" Appointment

    “The appointments to all boards, commissions, committees and councils are at the will of the board, unless otherwise provided in this Code or by state law.” – Branson Municipal Code Sec. 2-201

12. Removal From Board

    Appointee may be removed from a board, commission, committee and council for any reason. “Appointee removal shall be in the same manner and vote requirement as the manner and vote requirement for appointment.” – Branson Municipal Code Sec. 2-201
