Cancellation Hotline
Call (417)335-6550 for information regarding game and program cancellations and weather decisions. A decision regarding evening programs will be made 2 hours before the start of the first game or practice.
Scholarship Program
Financial assistance is available for area residents who meet income guidelines and is intended to assist those who could not otherwise pay for program fees. Scholarship amounts are limited and are not available for all programs. To receive a scholarship application or information about the program guidelines, stop by the RecPlex. Funding for this program is provided by the Skaggs Foundation, whose mission is to support and lead initiatives that improve health and wellness.
Resident Discount (RD) Fee Policy
This policy establishes a discount fee for Branson residents residing within the city limits for aquatics, recreation programs, and facility rentals. Branson residents who show proof of residency will receive a discounted fee in some areas.
Military Youth Fee Waiver
Children of parents on active duty military service may receive a discounted fee for select youth programs (youth baseball/softball, youth soccer, youth basketball, youth volleyball) and free daily pool admission. A parent or legal guardian must present proof of active duty service. The dependent child must reside in Stone or Taney Counties.
Inclusive Statement
The Branson Parks & Recreation Department provides recreation programs that are open to all residents in the city and seeks and supports participation by all citizens with a variety of interests and abilities. Photo Policy
Frequently, our staff takes photos of people enjoying our facilities, programs or special events. These photos are for promotional and marketing materials. They are used at the city’s discretion and become its sole property.
Background Check Policy
As a community-based organization, we strive to create a safe environment for our volunteers, citizens, and staff. Volunteer positions require the successful completion of a criminal background check. Click here to see a copy of the background check policy.
Refund Policy
The Parks Department reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or combine programs due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If insufficient enrollment causes an activity to be canceled, participants will receive a full refund. If a participant drops out of a youth sport program before the first scheduled week of practice, a full refund will be given. Refund requests within the first 2 weeks of scheduled practices will receive a 50% refund. After the completion of the 2nd scheduled week of practice, no refunds will be given. Due to limited space, no refunds will be given within 2 weeks of the scheduled start of a camp, clinic, or special event. Waiver Required
All participants are required to sign a waiver as a participant in Branson Parks & Recreation Department-sponsored activities. By registering to participate in recreation programs, each applicant realizes the inherent risk of injury involved and understands the nature of these risks. The applicant agrees to hold the City of Branson harmless for any injury caused by participation in these programs.
Code of Ethics/Conduct
All participants in youth programs, including coaches, parents, and youth, are required to read and sign a conduct agreement before the start of the program. By signing, you are agreeing to exhibit good sportsmanship and positive behavior.
Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the Branson RecPlex, or any City parks or facilities.
Smoking in Parks
Smoking is prohibited in City parks, except in designated areas. Parking lots will serve as the designated smoking areas for all parks.
Pets in Parks
Unless posted, dogs and other pets are permitted in City parks as long as they are kept on leashes or under similar restraints. Owners are responsible for the immediate cleanup, removal, and disposal in a lawful manner of pet waste.
Metal Detecting
The use of a metal detector in a City of Branson park shall be allowed, subject to the metal detectorist's adherence to certain conditions and regulations. Click here to see a copy of the policy. Please contact the Parks office at (417)335-2368 if you have any questions.
Food Trucks in the Parks
All food trucks wishing to operate on the City of Branson park property must have a valid permit and receive approval from the Parks Department. Applicable fees may apply. If your food truck does not currently have a permit, one can be obtained by submitting a Temporary Use Permit Application through the City of Branson's Planning & Development Department at www.citizenserve.com/branson. A permit application fee of $50.00 and a technology fee of $16.79 are due upon submission. Permits are valid for one calendar year.
