News Posted on November 14, 2025

(BRANSON, MO, November 14, 2025) Branson Mayor Larry Milton has released a heartfelt video message to the community, sharing an update on his recovery and announcing his upcoming return home following several months of rehabilitation.

Mayor Milton sustained a spinal cord injury in early July and has since undergone extensive medical treatment and physical therapy. In his message, he expressed deep gratitude to the first responders, City staff, and residents who have offered encouragement and support throughout his recovery.

“You’ve reminded me why I love serving this community,” Mayor Milton said. “My determination, optimism, and love for Branson remain as strong as ever.”

While away, Mayor Milton has remained in close contact with City Administrator Cathy Stepp and her team to ensure that City operations continue seamlessly. He also praised Mayor Pro Tem Clay Cooper for stepping in to assist with leadership duties.

Mayor Milton emphasized that the City’s progress has continued strong, noting recent milestones such as the completion of the new Branson Police Department headquarters and ongoing neighborhood revitalization efforts in Hiawatha Heights.

He looks forward to returning home at the end of November and re-engaging with the community in person.
