The Branson Fire and Police Departments are reminding area residents to keep safety in mind during upcoming Halloween celebrations for the well-being of the children in area neighborhoods.
Here are some safety tips to remember:
- Purchase flame-resistant costumes and make sure that masks do not obscure clear vision.
- Make sure children are visible by utilizing flashlights, reflective material and glow sticks.
- Trick or Treat as a family and only approach well-lit homes.
- Accept pre-packaged candy only
- Remove trip hazards from your lawn so trick-or-treaters have a clear path to your door.
- Don’t assume motorists see you, they probably can’t.
- Call 911 immediately to report any suspicious behavior or criminal activity.
- Consider organized events, like the City-sponsored Boonanza, held Saturday, October 26, 2019. Details here: https://bransonparksandrecreation.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=942
