In order to be more efficient and to eliminate the need to physically go to the Police Department, the Branson Police Department is now offering an easy and convenient way to request police records online. In most cases, a trip to the Police Department will no longer be needed to obtain police reports.
Here’s how it works:
- Starting April 6, 2020, go to the Branson Police Department’s website, www.bransonmo.gov/216/Police
- Click on the “Records Requests” tab at the bottom of the page
- Log in or “register” if it is your first time
- Create the request, pay any related fees for the records and receive the records through a secure portal.
This is a great way to get crime reports, traffic crash reports and any other reports or information from the Branson Police Department without having to leave your home.
This new feature is in addition to the “Report a Crime/Accident” feature that the Branson Police Department rolled out last week that now allows citizens to report certain incidents on-line. Not only will these changes assist our community with avoiding personal contact during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they will continue to enable more efficiency for our community and visitors once the pandemic has passed.
