Our goals for our swimmers: |
-
Become
better swimmers by improving strokes and endurance
-
Increase knowledge of swimming
-
Grow
through physical and mental discipline
-
Develop a sense of team-work among their peers
-
Build
self-confidence by achieving personal goals, such as
bettering individual times rather than just racing
against others
-
Having
fun and making new friends
Our
Purpose
Participating in the swim team provides an opportunity
for kids to become better swimmers by improving strokes
and endurance, to increase their knowledge of swimming,
and to meet new friends and have fun. Swimming in meets
builds confidence, as well as self gratification in
kids. It's the cleanest sport there is.
Emphasis
Our
staff concentrates on four things: Building character
and self-confidence... Teaching physical fitness through
swimming.... Teaching swimming strokes and endurance....
Building organizational skills- working together and
getting along with one another. We do not push
winning as individuals or as a team. We encourage
our kids to beat their own times- swim faster than the
last time. |
